Dieses Stück entstand 2023 als Auftragskomposition für das sechsköpfige Ensemble Vocalconsort Mainz. Es wurde im Rahmen eines Konzerts im Juni 2023 in Mainz uraufgeführt.

Der Text von Emily Dickinson vergleicht die Hoffnung mit einem kleinen Vögelchen, das in der Seele sitzt und ungeachtet von äußeren Stürmen immer weiter singt.
