De Fallana
This piece was written in 2008 and is one of my very few pieces for piano. During this time I was very fascinated by Spanish piano music. The piece is very much inspired by Manuel de Falla's "Fantasía Baetica" for piano. You could almost call it a style copy. However, Joaquín Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" for guitar and orchestra as well as Kachaturian "De Fallana" also influenced this piece.
The original version is 16 minutes long. For the concert in 2013 from which is the recording, I shortened the piece a little bit.
